Real Estate Commercial Litigation Bankruptcy
John Wasserman has been a shareholder of Sender & Wasserman, P.C. since 1981, concentrating in commercial real estate and representation of creditors and debtors in Chapter 7 and 11 cases. He currently represents numerous owners (including individuals, institutions and pension funds) of office, retail and warehouse properties and has been involved in the development, acquisition disposition, leasing and financing of the properties. He is experienced in the myriad of matters which are presented on a day-to-day basis to owners of commercial properties. He has lectured on office and retail leasing.
He also has extensive experience in Chapter 11 cases in a wide variety of industries including real estate, manufacturing, airlines, farming and ranching, hotel and food distribution. In addition to debtors, trustees and secured and unsecured creditors, Mr. Wasserman has represented several creditors' committees. Mr. Wasserman successfully represented a bankruptcy trustee in one of the few bankruptcy cases nationwide which have been tried before a federal court jury. He has lectured on bankruptcy and is a member of the Bankruptcy Subsection of the Colorado Bar Association.
Mr. Wasserman received his law degree, magna cum laude, from St. Louis University in 1976. After graduation he clerked for Missouri Supreme Court Judge John E. Bardgett. He is a member of the American, Colorado, Missouri and Denver Bar Associations. He has been admitted to the State Bar of Colorado and Missouri. |
